The UW Writing Center is a free resource dedicated to helping University of Wyoming students become more effective and confident writers. Our trained writing consultants are available to assist with any writing project, at any stage of the writing process. Whether you’re brainstorming, drafting or revising, we’re here to help you improve your writing skills and reduce some of the stress that often comes with writing. Meet with a consultant up to four times per week for personalized support on your writing projects!

Writing Center Services

Every student has a unique writing process and different needs, which is why the UW Writing Center offers a range of writing services and consultation types to suit you. Explore your options and find what works best for you. We’re here to help!

 

Face-to-Face Appointment

Meet with a consultant in person to review your work, located in Coe Library Level 1.

Video Conferencing

Meet with a consultant via Zoom for online writing support.

Review and Return

Submit your paper asynchronously. The consultant will provide feedback at your scheduled appointment time, offering flexibility for busy schedules.

Writing Center Support for Faculty

Faculty can request a Writing Center consultant to speak with your class or schedule a customized workshop on topics like brainstorming, citation help, peer review, paragraph structure, and job applications. Please provide at least two (2) weeks’ notice for these sessions. For more information or specific requests, contact the WC Workshop Coordinator, Cady Favazzo.
