Director, Writing Center
Francesca King is the Director of the UW Writing Center. She gained her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Wyoming in 2019, and has taught First Year Seminar, English 1010, Technical Writing, and creative writing classes. Francesca also runs free creative writing classes (Write Time at the Center). Email her for more information.
Workshop Coordinator
Cady Favazzo is the Workshop Coordinator for the Writing Center. She graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in education and earned her MFA in poetry from the University of Idaho. Her favorite subjects to teach are creative writing and composition. When she’s not at the Writing Center, she teaches for the LeaRN program here at UW. Cady enjoys running, sleeping in, and eating snacks.
Professional Consultant
Erin is a PhD student in Botany and the Program in Ecology and Evolution (PiEE). Erin’s background is in microbiology, evolutionary biology, community outreach and education, and creative writing. Outside of studying wildflower evolution, she enjoys spending time with her dog, playing ttRPGs, and podcasting. You can read more about her work in the sciences and creative field here.

Virginia is from Potter, Nebraska. She graduated in May with a Bachelor's in English with minors in Drawing and Creative Writing. Virginia hopes to someday pursue a career as an editor. She loves working out, fall, pumpkins, baking, hiking, and curling up with a blanket and a good book.
Graduate Consultant
Anne is a graduate student from Ames, Iowa. She attended Iowa State University, where she majored in psychology with a second major in criminal justice. She moved to Laramie last fall to begin her master's degree in mental health counseling. Anne's passions include working with others and forming connections with the people around her. When not in school, Anne loves to read, listen to music, cheer on the Iowa State Cyclones, or crochet gifts for her friends and family.
Graduate Consultant
Shifa is from Punjab, Pakistan, and is currently a graduate student of English literature at UW. Most of the time, she is going on about politics, literature, and bringing meaningful change in the world through these mediums. Otherwise you can find her in solitary places, enjoying the serenity of Laramie and finding the essence of life.
