Director, Writing Center
Francesca King is the Director of the UW Writing Center. She gained her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Wyoming in 2019, and has taught First Year Seminar, English 1010, Technical Writing, and creative writing classes. Rick Fisher is currently the director of University of Wyoming Communication Across the Curriculum. He completed his Ph.D. in Literacy Studies in 2018, and has taught a variety of academic, technical, and professional writing classes.
While Rick is not a core member of the Writing Center tutoring team, the Writing Center collaborates with Communication Across the Curriculum on events and scholarly groups.

Barbara Bogart holds graduate degrees from San Francisco State and UCLA. As a literature and American Studies instructor, she has extensive experience in working with students on developing their ideas and honing their writing skills. She has served as a consultant at the Writing Center since 2014.

Colleen is a dedicated and compassionate master's student in school counseling. She completed her undergraduate degree in elementary education with a concentration in creative arts, achieved through taking several writing courses. Having spent seven formative years in Laramie, Colleen has cultivated a deep understanding of the University of Wyoming and its writing needs.

Erin is a PhD student in Botany and the Program in Ecology and Evolution (PiEE). Erin’s background is in microbiology, evolutionary biology, community outreach and education, and creative writing. Outside of studying wildflower evolution, she enjoys spending time with her dog, playing ttRPGs, and podcasting. Rachel is a graduate student from Philadelphia Pennsylvania. She has a bachelor's degree in philosophy from UC Riverside and is pursuing a master's in English literature at the University of Wyoming. She likes to read, listen to music, and go on long road trips.

Gregory is a sophomore at UWYO studying Music and English. He is also minoring in Spanish and honors. Gregory has two dogs and enjoys hiking and being outdoors. He also loves to read fantasy and sci-fi novels.

Virginia is from Potter, Nebraska. She is majoring in English with minors in Drawing and Creative Writing. Virginia hopes to someday pursue a career as an editor. She loves fall, pumpkins, baking, hiking, and curling up with a blanket and a good book.

Sarah Walker is from Colorado Springs, Colorado. She is a Junior at the University of Wyoming and is majoring in English. She hopes to someday use this major to help her become an editor. Sarah likes reading, writing, spending time in nature, and music.

Amelia Gee is an undergraduate student from Big Horn, Wyoming. She has an associate degree in general studies from Northern Wyoming Community College. She is majoring in Secondary Education and English, with minors in Honors and ESL. Amelia hopes to teach while traveling abroad someday. She loves to read, write, draw, play volleyball, and learn about new people and cultures.
