Francesca King is the Director of the UW Writing Center and an associate lecturer in LeaRN. She gained her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Wyoming in 2019, and has taught First Year Seminar, English 1010, online English 1010, and Technical Writing. Every other Spring (commencing 2026), she leads a study abroad class to Iceland titled Icelandic Myth and Folklore.
Francesca is the recipient of the Wyoming Innovation Partnership $25K business start-up grant for her editorial work and in 2022 was named the Wyoming Arts Council fellow in Fiction.

The University of Wyoming has earned its Research Level 1 (R1) status from the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education, placing Wyoming's only four-year university with the top research universities in the United States.
