District Residency Connections Fair

Exploring Student Teaching Residency in Wyoming

The Wyoming School-University Partnership hosts the annual District Residency Connections Fair on the University of Wyoming campus every October. The fair is unique in that it is designed to connect College of Education students with member district leaders and education organization personnel to explore potential locations for their future student teaching residency.

Overview and History

The District Residency Connections Fair (DRCF) began in the fall of 2022 under the leadership of Elizabeth McMahan. Through collaboration with the Wyoming School-University Partnership and the College of Education, the inaugural DRCF was a huge success and has become a staple Partnership initiative. Now in its fourth year, the DRCF continues to connect education students with public school districts and education organizations earlier in their teacher preparation program.
