Tom was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming, and attended Natrona County High School. He realized a medical career was suitable for him when he met some amazing kids at the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in Salt Lake City as a part of the 2017 Wyoming Shrine Bowl football game. Tom next attended Carroll College in Helena, Montana, where he played linebacker for the Fighting Saints football team and completed majors in Biology and Health Sciences in 2021. Throughout college, Tom also enjoyed working in the emergency department as a scribe, volunteering for the local food shelter, being an academic tutor, and volunteering with Special Olympics. He is open-minded when considering choosing a specialty, and he is excited to see and learn as much as possible. Tom enjoys spending time with his friends and family in his free time, hunting, fly-fishing, and skiing.
