EVENTS & OPPORTUNITIES 

2016 University of Wyoming Horse Camp

The 2016 University of Wyoming Horse Camp will be June 16-19 in Douglas at the Wyoming State Fairgrounds. This is a fun, educational opportunity available for youth 8-18 to attend! Early arrivals are welcome on June 16, with camp activities beginning on the 17th. Registration is available from April 15- May 27. Registration is limited to the first 80 youth who sign up- so don’t put off registering!

2016 Showcase Showdown Registration is OPEN!

Are you looking for something FUN to do this summer? Are you excited to travel around the state? Do you enjoy competing and brushing up on your leadership skills? Look no further! The 2016 Showcase Showdown is just around the corner. Start studying your materials and break out your judging books to prepare for this showcase of your talents! Join youth from around the state June 21-23 in Laramie, WY. For contests, workshops, and FUN! 

2016 Wyoming 4-H State Shooting Match

Join us in Douglas, June 7-10 for the 2016 State Shooting Match! Youth will have the opportunity to shoot in various disciplines including shotgun, rifle, arhcery, and more! Visit the link above for more information or to register today!

Wyoming 4-H Shooting Sports

The Wyoming 4-H Program offers several shooting sports projects and events for its youth members.  Adult volunteers are specially trained to teach youth everything they need to know regarding this project area.

Fall Youth Deer Hunt in Northeastern Wyoming

The Wyoming 4-H Program offers a deer hunting experience for youth ages 14-18 who may not have hunted or may be in circumstances which make an opportunity difficult.   The goal is to aid youth in having a positive first-time experience under the supervision of caring adults that share their knowledge and wisdom.  Safety is paramount throughout the process and oversight is provided by UW 4-H volunteers and industry leaders.

National 4-H Congress

Wyoming 4-H will send delegates to the 2016 National 4-H Congress in Atlanta, GA. Will you be one of them? Click the link above to find out more about this conference or to apply! Interviews wilol take place at Showcase Showdown in June. Applications are due June 8.

WYOMING STATE 4-H FOUNDATION

2016 Wyoming 4-H Foundation Fundraiser dates have been announced!

The foundation puts on three fundraisers each summer that take place throughout the state of Wyoming. This year the dates are: 

  • 3-D Archery Shoot, Pindedale, WY. - June 18
  • Apache Clear Creek Shootout, Ucross, WY- July 30
  • Platte River Shootout, Saratoga, WY- July 15-16
