Finding Your Life Work

Parker Palmer, in Let Your Life Speak, stated that "Vocation [life work] does not mean a goal that I pursue. It means a calling that I hear. Before I can tell my life what I want to do with it, I must listen to my life telling me who I am. I must listen for the truths and values at the heart of my own identity, not the stadnards by which I must live - but the standards by which I cannot help but live if I am living my own life". This concept is central to finding a meaningful life, career, and academic path. Finding your life work path is more than just finding a job. Finding a life work is finding the core work that you feel called, compelled, and/or meant to fulfill. This decision-making process is not a one time choice. It is a continual process that requires you to continue to learn about yourself, others, and the world around you since the world is always (and rapidly) changing. This website will help you to find what your life work is, or in other words, what your life/career path is.
