Our office will close occasionally for university or college business.
Generally, you will need to schedule an appointment at least one day in advance. You
can request an appointment with your advisor by clicking on their email link below.
You will need to check in for your appointment at the front desk kiosk in the Engineering
Building Room 2085.
* Please note if you are more than 5 minutes late to your appointment, it will be
canceled and you will be asked to sign in as a walk-in. All main campus students must
schedule in-person advising appointments.
You can also contact an advisor via email or phone. We strive to answer all emails
within 48 business hours; however, there might be a delay in response during peak
times. We will only respond to your official UW email address, so be sure you are
checking it regularly. We do not offer full advising via email or phone.
You are always welcome to send an email or call if you need assistance. Please be
sure to always include your full name, W number, and a full explanation of the nature
of your question. Your advisor may still want you to schedule an appointment, but
sometimes an email is sufficient for an advisor to provide assistance!
Newly admitted transfer students: Please send an email to ceps-advising@uwyo.edu to request advising. You should include your full name, W number, and intended major in your email. Fall transfer students are advised in April, while spring transfer admits are advised in November. However, you should reach out as soon as you are admitted so that your transfer work can be evaluated in a timely manner.
Newly admitted freshmen students: Advising for first time students begins with New Student Days. Click here for information. For students who were not able to attend a New Student Days event, advising will begin in June. Watch for an email from your advisor with information on how to schedule an appointment. If you have not received an email by June 15, please send an email to ceps-advising@uwyo.edu and include your full name, W number, and intended major.
