Engineering Honors students can receive up to $1000 toward a study abroad or a technical conference experience. Students wishing to take advantage of the monetary benefit must have the required 3.5 GPA and would be required to submit a brief application explaining how the funds would be used. This benefit would apply to actual costs only. However, students will have an opportunity to use the funds for multiple events, not to exceed $1000. Any awarded funds would be treated as a scholarship applied through the CEAS Student Services scholarship process.

The University of Wyoming Honors Program requires a 3.7 or better incoming GPA or an ACT COMP of 28 or better to be eligible to participate in the Honors Program. UW also requires students maintain an overall 3.25 each semester in order to remain in the Honors Program.

The CEAS will require an overall 3.5 GPA requirement for students who choose to participate in the Engineering Honors Program.

In the current Honors Program, transfer students have been allowed to start the program in whatever year they are in, waiving the requirements from earlier years. The CEAS follows the UW Honors Program transfer student policy and starting in AY 2017-2018, sophomore and junior students enrolled in engineering and the Honors Program will be allowed to participate in the Engineering Honors program if they so choose.
