Financing your Graduate Degree

All students admitted to the University of Wyoming's Department of Chemistry are fully funded through Graduate Teaching and Graduate Research Assistantships.  By submitting your application to the department, you are simultaneously requesting funding; no additional steps are required.

University of Wyoming's department of chemistry offers graduate assistantships to all graduate studentsTeaching Assistantships

An annual stipend of $25,500 total a year + a full tuition and fee waiver + medical insurance.  All students admitted to the graduate program will be supported by a teaching assistantship during their first year contingent upon satisfactory performance.
 

Under-Represented Domestic Minority Graduate Assistantships

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Wyoming is excited to announce two new GA positions for the fall semester of 2022. These positions are available exclusively to incoming graduate students from Under-Represented Domestic Minorities (URDMs) as well as U.S. domestic women who are seeking a doctoral degree in Chemistry.

URDM students are defined as American born or naturalized (domestic) students from an under-represented minority, including students of African American, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian, Alaskan native, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, or Asian descent. To receive full consideration for one of these positions, please contact the program coordinator via email (chemistry@uwyo.edu). Qualifying applications will be reviewed as received and the positions will remain open until suitable candidates are identified.
