Dr. Wissinger is originally from Ohio but has lived in Texas, Oklahoma, California, Colorado, Florida, and now Wyoming. Living in all of these amazing locations helped him to develop a passion for the outdoors and adventure that he continues to explore with his wife and two sons. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, he earned degrees in psychology and biology in Colorado. He then worked in behavioral health with both adolescents and adults for nearly 12 years in Denver. He graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2019 and has continued to pursue community based rural medicine as a career. He hopes to complete his fellowship in Wilderness Medicine and utilize those skills as a rural doctor. Wyoming is his wife’s home state and a fantastic place for all of his other interests: mountain biking, skiing, motocross, hiking, and camping. He looks forward to serving the people of Cheyenne and the surrounding communities.
