PGY III

Polly is originally from Northern California where she worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Marshall Hospital for 20 years, beginning at 17 years old. This hospital was where she fell in love with medicine, patient care, learning and became determined to become Family Medicine physician. She attended several community colleges from 2001 onward working towards medical school while still working and raising three daughters. A few things slowed her down, including adopting her nephew and her husband's job loss. Following a move from California to Nebraska in 2010, she was able to return to school and graduate with BS in Biology and Public Health minor at the University of Nebraska, Kearney. After two years of application cycles without successful admission to an American medical school, she turned her gaze toward the Caribbean and was happily accepted to Ross University School of Medicine, where she then spent two unforgettable years navigating basic sciences in a third-world country starting with tropical storm Erica in 2015. She is excited to have landed FM residency in Wyoming, which already feels like family. She is especially excited for upcoming OB/Gyn opportunities! Of the many perks of being PGY1, the best is when I assisted in the delivery of my grandson, Eugene. Looking forward to many more deliveries!
