2013 CRIMINAL JUSTICE AWARDS BANQUET

WYSCOP

UW Campus Police Chief Mike Sampe presents Kourtnie Rodgers (L) and Shelby Olson (R), the first-ever WYSCOP scholarships generated from a new endowment from the Wyoming Association of Sheriffs and Chiefs of Police to the Criminal Justice Dept. The scholarships are intended to help students defray the cost of their internships.

Criminal Justice (CJ) is a social science that critically examines the causes and control of criminal behavior.  The CJ Department is interdisciplinary: criminologists, political scientists, sociologists, psychologists, anthropologists, and many others contribute their knowledge to the field.

2012 Griffith Speaker

The 2012 Griffith Speaker, Karen Jo Koonan, presented to a full Education Auditorium on Sept. 18th. Koonan is a Senior Litigation Consultant at NJP Litigation Consulting in San Francisco, CA, and was the consultant for the State of Colorado v. Kobe Bryant trial. Her talk was entitled, "Criminal Trials: Juror Attitudes and Jury Selection Methods."
