Installing Wyoming Grasshopper Information System

System requirements: 25 MB of free hard drive space.

You must use the Wyoming Grasshopper Information System, WGIS, setup program to install the program. The files cannot be copied onto your hard drive because the files are compressed on the setup disks.

Setup will allow you to pick the directory or folder you would like the program in.

Installing the program on Windows 3.1 or Windows NT™ 3.51

  1. Windows 3.1 or higher must be installed on your hard drive.
  2. Start Windows. Place the Disk 1 in drive A or B. Choose Run from the File menu in the Program Manager.
  3. In the dialog box, type A:/SETUP or B:/SETUP.
  4. Then follow the instructions given by the installation program.

To Run the program

After the program has been installed Double-click on the group in the Windows Program manager named "WGIS" and then Double-click on the WGIS icon to start the program.


Installing the program on Windows 95 or Windows NT™ 4.0

  1. Windows 95 or NT 4.0 must be installed on your hard drive.
  2. Click the Start Button. From Settings choose Control Panel.
  3. Double-click on Add/Remove Programs.
  4. On the Install/Uninstall tab choose the Install Button.
  5. Then follow the instructions on your screen.

To Run the program

After the program has been installed click on the Start button, click Programs, click Wyoming Grasshopper Information System folder, and then the WGIS, icon.
