Dr. Klint Alexander is Dean and Professor of Law at the University of Wyoming College of Law.  He joined the College of Law in 2015 and was previously a Partner in a major Southeastern law firm where he practiced in the areas of energy and natural resource law, utilities regulation and foreign trade and investment law.  For the past two decades, Alexander has served in teaching and leadership roles at several major institutions, including Yale University, Vanderbilt University and the University of London.  During the early-1990s, Dean Alexander served as Special Assistant to the President of Yale for External Relations and later as a trade negotiator in the U.S. Trade Representative’s Office in Washington, D.C., where he was responsible for coordinating trade policy reviews of various countries and representing the White House in trade negotiations before the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva and the World Customs Organization (WCO) in Brussels.  He also served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Boyce F. Martin Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit (1999-2000) after earning his law degree.  Dean Alexander received a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Yale University (1991); Master’s (1994) and Doctoral (1997) degrees in International Relations from Cambridge University; and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Virginia (1999).  Dean Alexander has published books and articles on trade and investment law, constitutional law, and higher education law and is licensed to practice law in Wyoming, Kentucky, Tennessee, and the District of Columbia. Additionally, he is admitted to practice before the Law Society of England and Wales as a Solicitor.
