WyoCourses is the Learning Management System (LMS) that supplements every UW Outreach Credit Program’s distance course and provides 24/7 support.
All courses may include any of the following supplements: video streaming, scheduled video streaming, threaded discussions, scheduled discussions, on-site instruction, and/or intensive weekends.
Access to high-speed internet may be required for any distance course.
Online courses are delivered through the WyoCourses LMS. Online learning is interactive and collaborative, combining discussions with peers and the instructor. These courses may include any of the supplements listed.
AUDIO TELECONFERENCINGAudio locations are equipped with speaker phones and microphones so that students and instructors can talk to and hear each other. Students gather to discuss the material via audio teleconference. These courses may include any of the supplements listed.
Video conferencing sites are offered at a variety of locations throughout Wyoming. They use a two-way interactive video conferencing network that enables students and instructors at each location to see and hear each other. These courses may include any of the supplements listed.

Semester-based courses begin and end with the normal semester. Students work through these courses independently, with assignments generally due every week. Assignment due dates are based on a required Learning Contract initiated by the student. Students must be self-motivated, disciplined, and task-oriented to be successful.
