Walk in Darwin's Footsteps During Study Abroad Opportunity in Galapagos Islands

Fall Semester 2012

This seminar course will engage students and faculty in readings and discussion about the natural history of the Galapagos Islands, the development of the theory of evolution, and the life of Charles Darwin.

Winter Break 2013

This field course will engage students and faculty in reading, discussing, and experiencing the natural history of the Galapagos Islands, the development of the theory of evolution, and the life of Charles Darwin. You will stay much of 11 days on a small yacht, and each day will be spent doing conservation work, snorkeling, and hiking on the Galapagos Islands. You will travel with a noted Darwinian scholar and Galapagos naturalist to observe and study island geology, and the unique Galapagos flora and fauna including Darwin’s finches, Galapagos tortoises, and marine and desert iguanas.
