I lead an extension, research and teaching program focused on solving problems caused by the invasion of non-native plant species, with an emphasis on rangelands and natural areas in Wyoming. My work centers around the development of an invasion informatics toolkit, which borrows aspects from the fields of data science, geography, taxonomy and weed science to analyze trends, monitor for new detections and help prioritize management decisions. I employ a range of empirical and predictive methods to research multi-species invasions in the context of global changes, including biodiversity loss, climate change, and increased introductions via economic expansion.
