The UW Psychology Department has scholarship funds for the support of senior undergraduate psychology majors and psychology graduate students.
Students may apply for funds for research-related travel and other
expenses. Support for these competitive scholarships comes from the
Lillian Portenier Trust Fund.
Students interested in applying for Psychology scholarship funds should
request an application form from the Psychology Department (contact
information below), complete the form, and submit it to the department.
Applications will be reviewed by the Psychology Department Scholarship
Committee following three deadlines: October 15, December 5, March 15.
Funds may be sought in several categories including research-related travel, thesis or dissertation research, and emergency expenses.
For some categories, applicants may be required to complete and submit
a Financial Aid application form through the University Financial Aid
office.
The Psychology Department also awards scholarships at the end of each
academic year to outstanding junior and senior psychology majors and
outstanding psychology graduate students. Psychology Faculty nominate
students for these awards.
