The Department of Residence Life & Dining Services fosters academic and personal growth by providing a safe, clean, and healthy educational setting. Living and dining on campus are valuable experiences that allow students to meet new people, develop relationships, and integrate living and learning.
Incoming UW freshmen are required to live in the Residence Halls for their first academic year. The Residence Halls, including single rooms in Crane Hall, are also an option for non-freshmen.
The new Bison Run Village will open in August 2012 for students above freshman standing, and other University Apartments complexes provide housing to upperclassmen of all types, including students who are married or have families.
