The University of Wyoming is proud to offer a variety of opportunities for eligible incoming Wyoming resident first-year students. All opportunities are based on the student's academic achievements at the time of admission to UW.

Important Note for Students

Fall 2022 test-optional: New first-year students will be reviewed using the test-optional dollar amount for the Cowboy Commitment; students who submit ACT/SAT test scores will be evaluated to determine if both unweighted GPA and test scores make them eligible for a possible higher tier.

Based on Wyoming Hathaway Legislation, eligible Wyoming students must submit ACT/SAT test scores for consideration for the Hathaway Scholarship.

Note: All UW financial awards are subject to available funding, and are only available for eligible admits who begin in the fall semester.
