School of Politics, Public Affairs & International Studies

In 2017, the former Department of Political Science and the former Global and Area Studies Program merged to create the School of Politics, Public Affairs & International Studies or SPPAIS.

This new institution boasts more than 20 faculty members, almost 300 students, and two undergraduate and three graduate programs: Political Science (B.A./B.S., M.A.), International Studies (B.A., M.A.), and the Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.). SPPAIS has taken over the entire south side of the Arts & Sciences Building; please come visit!

Former graduate student Thao Nguyen (M.A. in Political Science & Environment & Natural Resources) is a great example of the student experiences you may find as a part of SPPAIS and the University of Wyoming.
