Many years ago a committee of local landlords, students and representatives of the Associated Students of the University of Wyoming (ASUW) met for the purpose of drafting a lease that could be recognized by students and used by local landlords as a rental agreement that was fair to both landlord and tenant. This committee met for more than one year and drafted and approved a lease known as the ASUW Approved Lease Rental Agreement.
