Making an Appointment

 

You can take the GRE, Praxis computer-based tests almost any time we are open as long as there are appointments available that fit within their testing windows. Generally, we are open for testing M-F, 9:00am - 4:30pm, closed on holidays.

For ETS computer-based tests such as the GRE and Praxis, there are no scheduling deadlines but we recommend making an appointment in advance. During the last half of Fall Semester, we recommend making an appointment three or four weeks in advance.

You can register online 24/7 at the GRE, Praxis, or TOEFL websites.  Click on the computer-based testing fyi link to  your left to access those websites.  You can also cancel or reschedule your appointments online or by calling the 800 numbers listed below. 

The GMAT is offered everyday we are open.  To register for the GMAT, go to www.mba.com or call 1-800-717-4628.  To register for a Pearson Vue Certification exam such as Comp Tia or Cisco etc., go to www.vue.com.   To register for the FE exam (Fundamentals of Engineering) go to www.ncees.org 

On the testing day, candidates must provide a valid form of a national or state-issued identification such as a driver's license or a passport with both a current photo and signature.   Candidates testing outside of their country of citizenship will need to show a Passport.  A UW student ID is NOT a valid ID for most of the tests we offer. 

For Paper and Pencil tests, candidates apply directly with the testing company.  Most of them have online registration.  Click on Professional Exams for more information.  Online registration requires a credit card.
