College Colors Day Sept. 4
August 24, 2009 — University of Wyoming students, alumni, faculty and fans are
encouraged to wear UW merchandise Friday, Sept. 4, the fifth annual
College Colors Day. The UW Cowboys open the football season against
Weber State University Saturday, Sept. 5.
The event coincides with both back to campus and the kick-off of
intercollegiate athletics, says Shaun Ziegler, UW Trademark and
Licensing office manager. He says UW joins other universities nationwide
to celebrate the achievements of colleges and universities and
recognize their critical and fundamental importance to the United
States.
"College Colors Day is quickly becoming an annual dress-down day where individuals show their school spirit for companies and organizations across the country -- a casual Friday the day before the first full Saturday of the college football season," Ziegler says. "College Colors Day 2009 will be a nationwide celebration of the collegiate spirit."
