UW Classes Will Begin Aug. 24

University of Wyoming fall semester classes will begin Monday, Aug. 24.

Students will be able to move into UW residence halls starting at 7 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20. The first meal at the Washakie Dining Center will be served at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

President Tom Buchanan will welcome freshmen at 7 p.m. Aug. 20 in the Arena-Auditorium as part of the Summit Transitions Program, followed by a reception in War Memorial Fieldhouse. Faculty are invited to attend.

Many activities are scheduled during the summit, designed to help freshmen gain important knowledge about their transition to UW and have fun while interacting with their peers. The program features guest speakers and small group time with returning students and faculty focused on academic support and strategies for successful transition.
