Francesca King is the Interim Director for the UW Writing Center. She gained her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Wyoming in 2019, and has taught First Year Seminar and Step into College, in addition to composition, and creative writing classes.


Rick F.

Rick F.

Rick Fisher is currently the director of University of Wyoming Communication across the Curriculum. He completed his Ph.D. in Literacy Studies in 2018, and has taught a variety of academic, technical, and professional writing classes. His scholarly interests include Writing across the Curriculum (WAC), student transitions into and out of the university setting, and the role of genres in disciplinary enculturation.

Barbara B.

Barbara Bogart holds graduate degrees from San Francisco State and UCLA. As a literature and American Studies instructor, she has extensive experience in working with students on developing their ideas and honing their writing skills. She has served as a consultant at the Writing Center since 2014.


Nell H.

Nell H.

Nell Hanley earned her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Austin, Texas, where she was a fellow at the Michener Center for Writers. She was a Lecturer for the UWYO English Department for several years, teaching fiction workshops and Introduction to Literature. She has published short fiction and poetry in various print and online journals.


Hannah D.

Hannah D.

Hannah is pursuing an MA in English with a concentration in rhetoric and composition studies. She held the positions of consultant and Assistant Director at St. Lawrence University’s writing center for three years and one year, respectively, prior to receiving her B.A. in English literature and music from SLU in 2015. Hannah has since continued working with writers through an editorial position in the academic publishing industry and, most recently, through teaching English 1010 at UW.

Hannah is from Delta, Colorado and is currently earning her bachelor's degree in Anthropology with a minor in Geology. Someday she hopes to work as an archaeologist with the U.S. Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, or the Parks Service. She enjoys playing tuba, being outside, reading, spending time with loved ones, and helping others.


Mary R.

Mary R.

Mary is from Yoder, Wyoming. She is majoring in International Studies and minoring in Honors and Economics at the University of Wyoming. She hopes to pursue a career with the UN, the US State Department, or UNICEF. Mary enjoys reading, hiking, spending time with friends, and participating in sorority events. She is currently the Delta Delta Delta Secretary.


Caroline F.

Caroline F.

Caroline graduated from St. Lawrence University in 2015 with a BA in English and her New York State Teaching Certification in Secondary English. Originally from Ithaca, NY, Caroline has taught English in both upstate NY and Thessaloniki, Greece, before completing her MA at the University of Wyoming in English with a focus on women in Arthurian and chivalric literature. She is currently completing her MFA in Creative Writing at UW.

Emily S.

Emily is from Lakewood, Colorado. She is majoring in Spanish, with minors in Honors and Communications, and she hopes to be a librarian someday. She loves reading, writing letters to friends, and drinking tea.

Banaz is from Columbus, Ohio. She is majoring in Pre-Nursing and minoring in Honors. Banaz enjoys reading, playing soccer, and spending time with animals.


Anthony S.

Anthony S.

Anthony is from Saratoga, Wyoming. He is pursuing a Bachelor's in English Studies at the University of Wyoming. After graduating, he hopes to pursue a Master's in English and become an educator at either high school or post-secondary level. He enjoys writing, traveling, playing video games, and drinking copious amounts of coffee while doing all three.
