Francesca King is the Interim Director for the UW Writing Center. She gained her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Wyoming in 2019, and has taught First Year Seminar and Step into College, in addition to composition, and creative writing classes.


Rick F.

Rick F.

Rick Fisher is currently the director of University of Wyoming Communication across the Curriculum. He completed his Ph.D. in Literacy Studies in 2018, and has taught a variety of academic, technical, and professional writing classes. His scholarly interests include Writing across the Curriculum (WAC), student transitions into and out of the university setting, and the role of genres in disciplinary enculturation.


Barbara B.

Barbara B.

Barbara Bogart holds graduate degrees from San Francisco State and UCLA. As a literature and American Studies instructor, she has extensive experience in working with students on developing their ideas and honing their writing skills. She has served as a consultant at the Writing Center since 2014.


Nell H.

Nell H.

Nell Hanley earned her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Austin, Texas, where she was a fellow at the Michener Center for Writers. She was a Lecturer for the UWYO English Department for several years, teaching fiction workshops and Introduction to Literature. She has published short fiction and poetry in various print and online journals.

Banaz is from Columbus, Ohio. She is majoring in Pre-Nursing and minoring in Honors. Banaz enjoys reading, playing soccer, and spending time with animals.


Caroline F.

Caroline F.

Caroline graduated from St. Lawrence University in 2015 with a BA in English and her New York State Teaching Certification in Secondary English. Originally from Ithaca, NY, Caroline has taught English in both upstate NY and Thessaloniki, Greece, before completing her MA at the University of Wyoming in English with a focus on women in Arthurian and chivalric literature. She is currently completing her MFA in Creative Writing at UW.

Emily S.

Emily is from Lakewood, Colorado. She is majoring in Spanish, with minors in Honors and Communications, and she hopes to be a librarian someday. She loves reading, writing letters to friends, and drinking tea.


Holly Q.

Holly Q.

Holly is from Buffalo, Wyoming. She is studying elementary education at the University of Wyoming and hopes to someday teach kindergarten or first graders. She loves outdoor adventures, talking politics and religion, reading, playing music, and spending time with friends and family.


Kailee N.

Kailee N.

Kailee is from Littleton, Colorado. She received a bachelor's of science degree in both Physiology and Nursing from UW. She is currently pursing a Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice from UW, with hopes of becoming a primary care provider. Some of Kailee's interests include sewing and baking.


Makayla K.

Makayla K.

Makayla is from Monument, Colorado. She is majoring in English and Mathematics, with minors in Anthropology and Honors. After graduating, she hopes to pursue graduate school. Makayla enjoys reading, painting, baking, and spending time in the outdoors with her family, friends, and dogs.

Mary Kate is originally from Cody and has always loved Wyoming. She completed her BA in English here at UW in 2020 and is now pursuing her MA. She has taught English 1010 and enjoys working with student writers one-on-one. She also enjoys reading, hiking, baking, and cooking


Rebecca W.

Rebecca W.

After receiving her Associate of Arts degree at the South Dakota School of Mines, Rebecca couldn't wait to pursue an undergraduate English degree in her favorite place in the world - Wyoming. She hopes to continue her education with a graduate degree in Creative Writing. Her favorite pastimes include hiking, reading, developing book story lines, and coming up with new nicknames for her often confused Siberian Husky and elegantly refined tuxedo cat.


Robby

Robby

Robby is from Dallas, Texas. After getting his BA in English from the University of Texas at Austin, he taught for four years in Prague, Czech Republic and for five years at a high school in Texas. He is currently working on his MA in English, hoping to pursue a Ph.D. or teach abroad once again.
