Enlist in Boot Camp

This summer's Technology Boot Camp highlights WyoCourses. A series of sessions over the summer will develop faculty's skills in using UW's new learning management system to deliver or support their classes. General and advanced subjects will be covered. Visit the 2014 Technology Boot Camp page for details, schedule, and registration.

Training Schedule

Training sessions will be offered online. You MUST enroll in the Online WyoCourses Training course prior to the scheduled time in order to join the session. Please enroll at least 15 minutes prior to the session start time. The sessions on Monday/Friday begin at 1:30 p.m. promptly, and on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. promptly. If you are NOT enrolled in the course, and the session start time has passed, you will NOT be able to join the course. You can watch the WyoCourses General Overview video.

To enroll in the course: 

  1. Go to https://uwyo.instructure.com/enroll/9CF6MM
  2. Log in using your UWYO credentials
  3. Choose "Enroll in Course"

To join the session:

  1. "Go to the course"
  2. Go to "Conferences"
  3. Click "Join" on the active conference

The Canvas Help Center offers on-demand access to the most comprehensive training resources on the Canvas system. The selections below from their video tutorials and instructor guides are a suggested starting point for learning the instructional features and capabilities of the flexible learning management system. Apply instruction to your upcoming course, or request a test course shell.

Remember, you can enlarge the video to full screen by clicking on the four-arrow icon, bottom right of video player window. Each video tutorial is about three minutes long, with the exception of the Canvas Instructor Training series, where each of the three videos is about an hour long,
