- About UW
In 2013, the School of Energy Resources partnered with ExxonMobil to advance energy literacy education in Wyoming. Our mission is to connect energy information and 21st-century career skills to position students for competitive success in higher education and the energy workforce.
The Energy and Society curriculum is currently under review.
The Wallop K-12 project has created a catalog of content that is available to Wyoming teachers free of charge. Recordings include thought provoking questions that K-12 classes can follow up on. Energy content experts produce a 2-page teacher resource guide that accompanies the topic that includes additional information, discussion questions/activities, and additional resources. Wallop organizes the online catalog such that classroom teachers can easily find content. Classroom teachers make use of the catalog as best suits their needs. They can schedule a synchronous “Ask Me Anything” discussion with the faculty member after their class has used the videos/handouts. You can check out the video library on WyoLearn here.
