George Duke Humphrey Distinguished Faculty Award

Purpose:  To recognize a faculty member who, in addition to acclaim as a teacher, has achieved distinction as a scholar in research or other creative activity, and who has given distinguished service to the university.

Eligibility:  All full-time faculty who teach and conduct research or creative activities are eligible.  Past recipients of the Humphrey award are not eligible, but past winners of other awards are. 

Nominating Materials

The nominee's packet should include:

  • A current curriculum vitae.

  • A summary list of the 6 most recently classes taught or classes taught over the last 2 years, including the current semester (the greatest number), with class enrollments.

  • All evaluations for these classes. Please provide an explanation for any courses that do not have evaluations.

  • Two supporting letters from colleagues.

  • Two outside letters of support.
