Fall and Spring Registration

Registering for classes at UW is simple and easy! Follow the below steps to navigate through WyoRecords and Banner to find and register for your classes.

Click on each step below to learn how to complete that step in the registration process.

Every UW student has been assigned an advisor and should have received an email regarding registration for the upcoming semester.
Students cannot register for next semester’s classes if they currently have any holds. Before you can register, all items on this checklist must be listed with a green check mark. Students can find the status of any holds through the Navigate app.
Your advisor will be able to provide your PERC number, which is required to register for classes, and help find options that fit your major and semester schedule. If you're unsure who your advisor is or can't find an email from them, the appropriate advising centers can be found in the UW Advising Directory.
Visit the WyoRecords Portal to start the registration process. Once inside WyoRecords, click the “Registration” tab, then choose “Register for Classes”.
Once you have selected that you are a student and chosen the correct semester for registration, you will need to enter your PERC number provided by your advisor.
Once you’ve ensured you have no holds, you can choose “Register for Classes” again, before searching for desired classes with the “Find Classes,” “CRN” (Course Record Number), or “Schedule and Options” tabs. An “Advanced Search” option is also available.

For more in-depth steps and visual aids, students can view this PowerPoint for more information.
