Provide Transcripts
UW requires official transcripts sent from your school or a NACES-approved agency. Documents must be in the native language with an official English translation.
Prove English Proficiency
UW accepts various exams to meet English proficiency requirements. All test scores must be official and sent directly from the testing agency. Some programs have specific requirements.
Proof of Financial Support
You must provide an official bank statement as proof of financial support. Original financial documents can be scanned and uploaded via your application portal.
Copy of Passport
Please scan a copy of your valid passport and email it to UW admissions. Make sure all details are visible. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Applying as an international transfer student is easy, whether you're coming from a school abroad or within the U.S. Below, you'll find key details on submitting your application and transferring your immigration record if you're already studying in the U.S. Let us help you take the next step toward joining UW!
Apply to UW
Submitting your application is simple with a low $40 USD non-refundable fee. If paying by international money order or check, it must be drawn from a U.S. bank and payable to the UW Admissions Office. Be sure to include your full legal name.
Application Deadlines by Semester
Fall: June 1 | Spring: Nov. 1 | Summer: April 1
Transferring from a U.S. Institution
If you're studying at a U.S. institution, provide your school’s immigration coordinator with:
