Weekday Visits & Tours

Parking Information:

Parking for campus tours is located just off of E. Ivinson and S. 13th Street in the parking area north of Ivinson. Park in any of the “Future Cowboy Parking” spots as you enter the east side of the lot. Immediately upon arrival, check-in with the Campus Visitor Center and we will provide you with a parking permit to place on the front dashboard of your vehicle to avoid a ticket. If you have a handicap placard, feel free to park in any accessible spot and place the permit in the dashboard of your car.

Check-in Information:

Once you have parked your car in a “Future Cowboy Parking” spot, follow the sidewalk up to the main steps of the Wyoming Union. Enter the Union through the main west doors and the Campus Visitor Center is located directly to your left.

Weekend & Special Events

Parking Information:

Parking permits are not required on the weekend unless the area is noted as "Enforced 24 Hours". To take advantage of parking near the Wyoming Student Union parking is available in several locations west of 15th Street, including:


Please note: The Wyoming Union parking lot is closed for construction.

A Note About Weekend Events:

Weekend events can often coincide with athletic home games, which can limit parking. We recommend arriving at your event early to ensure you have plenty of time.

Visiting Laramie


The main University of Wyoming campus is nestled in Laramie, Wyoming which sits in the southeast end of Wyoming. Surrounded by National Forest, a state park and open spaces, Laramie has an upbeat and lively downtown, dozens of designated parks and plazas, and plenty of things to do when you’re not in class.

If you’re short on time, you can visit the many eateries and coffee shops on campus, have a picnic in the famous Prexy’s Pasture or hang out in The Union where you’ll find restaurants, gaming and much more.
