Visitor Parking Information

For weekday visits and tours, park in the "Future Cowboy" spots near the Wyoming Union. After arrival, check in at the Campus Visitor Center just inside the west doors, where you'll receive a parking permit. If you have a handicap placard, feel free to use any accessible spot.


On weekends or during special events, permits aren’t required unless marked “Enforced 24 Hours.” Explore our parking options and be aware that athletic events may affect availability. Watch your email for additional parking details if you've registered for an event.

The University of Wyoming is located in Laramie, Wyoming. Our campus is tucked right in at the base of the Snowy Mountains and is full of exciting things to do! Of course, we recommend grabbing a beverage or snack at our on-campus coffee shops or playing a game of billiards at the Pokes Pub & Gameroom, but Laramie has so much to offer!

What to Bring for Your Visit to Laramie

Laramie weather can be a bit unpredictable, so it’s best to dress in layers. In winter, be ready for snow, while summer is likely to bring some sun—don’t forget sunscreen and a water bottle! Comfortable shoes are a must, especially for walking around campus. It’s always a good idea to check the weather the day before your visit so you can pack accordingly and make the most of your time on campus.
