The University of Wyoming Alumni Association (UWAA) has a wealth of resources and career tools in for both UW Students and Alumni in preparing them for employment, building or furthering their network, and ultimately finding a job! We also offer a wide range of career webinars for professional development!

All career services are all listed below, click on their images to learn more!


Handshake and Cowboy2Cowboy are interrelated in connecting both UW Students and Alumni! We work closely with our UW partners in the Advising, Career and Exploratory Studies Center (ACES) they manage the Handshake portal and run our Cowboy 2 Cowboy Program. For questions, please contact us at uwalumni@uwyo.edu or (307) 766-4166.

Handshake is UW’s portal that connects students and alumni with employers through online job and internship postings, on-campus interviews, job fairs and career events, and more. For alumni to utilize this program, you must be a member of the UWAA. For student sign-up, click on student and follow prompts. For more information visit the UW ACES page (scroll down to the 'Resoures' section). All registration instructions are listed below in the Cowboy2Cowboy section!


Cowboy2Cowboy is a UWAA program for students and alums who are wanting to grow their professional network through informational interviews. Through our UWAA alumni network, we can help connect you with UW alums in your career field or certain geographic areas for an informational interview. You can learn about the career field or area, the alum’s experiences, how to boost your resume and bolster your experience, and grow your professional network. For alumni to participate in the informational interviews, you must be a member of the UWAA. You do not need to be a member to be a mentor.

Registration:

For Student sign-up, visit Wyoming.joinhandshake.com. Click on 'student' and follow prompts.

For Alumni who want to connect with another Alum interviewer (mentor), sign-up at wyoming.joinhandshake.com/register, click on 'alumni' and follow the prompts.

For Alumni who want to serve as a Cowboy2Cowboy Interviewer (mentor), sign-up at wyoming.joinhandshake.com/register, click on 'mentor' and follow the prompts to set-up your profile and account details.

UW ACES Program Information!

The Advising • Career • Exploratory Studies Center is focused on students, and their success throughout their academic career. Our three divisions: Academic Advising, Career Counseling, and Career Services, all serve to assist you when you enter the university and when you are preparing to leave. Our Career Services team functions to assist you in finding employment after college by hosting career fairs, offering resume and cover letter reviews and many other career preparation services.
