We are excited to announce another unforgettable summer of immersive language learning! This year, in addition to our popular Arabic camp, we are introducing a Russian Language Camp. The High School Summer Arabic and Russian programs aim to increase the number of students learning, speaking, and teaching critical languages. These programs is an awarded scholarship and completely FREE to students. Our programs provide students with the unique opportunity to dive into the language and culture through interactive lessons, engaging cultural activities, and hands-on experiences. Whether you’re exploring the beauty of traditions or mastering new language skills, you’ll enjoy a summer full of discovery, fun, and connection.
The UW Language Learning Programs are two-week summer camps that focus on the Arabic and Russian languages. The camps include 102 instructional hours to help students achieve Novice-Mid fluency, along with cultural activities like films, music and dance workshops, cooking, and community visits. Participants will enjoy excursions respective to each camp, either meeting local experts on Russian, Ukrainian, Uzbek, and Kazakh cultures or connecting with Arabic experts to explore language and traditions. The programs offer free lodging and meals at the University of Wyoming dorms, a Commitment to Critical Language Learning Award, a certificate, and much more!
Any students entering 9th grade through college sophomores are eligible to apply. Preference is given to Wyoming students, but any student across the country is encouraged to apply. Application announcements will be posted later this year.
