Diversity and Student Outreach

Purpose

The Student Outreach and Policies Committee will be responsible for coordinating with individual students and student organizations to voice opinions and concerns regarding university policy, administration, or other issues associated with student life. The Committee shall have the responsibility to investigate said issues and will represent student opinion throughout the policy process. The Committee shall also work to promote the current services, actions, and happenings of the ASUW First-Year Senate, to consistently outreach to individual students and student organizations annually, and to assist the Elections Commission with public relations and marketing efforts during elections.

The Student Outreach and Policies Committee will review any legislative action from the First-Year Senate or from the ASUW, as directed by the Steering Committee.

Composition

A minimum of five First-Year Senators will serve as the membership for the Student Outreach and Policies Committee.

The Student Outreach and Policies Committee will internally select a chair.
