- About UW
The hub for food resources across campus. The mission of the UW Food Security Taskforce is to end student food insecurity at UW through a range of interrelated strategies. While student food security is their primary mission, they additionally support strategies that ultimately aim to end staff food and financial insecurity and related challenges within our broader community. In this way, our mission is to ensure that every Poke is nourished.
One of the best ways to thrive in academics is to make sure you are well nourished and have plenty of access to the food you need. The link below provides a map where you can access food both on campus and throughout the Laramie community, including local convenience stores and food cabinets.
Additionally, the University of Wyoming has a food share pantry that is open to all students. Students can pick up a meal bag once a week that is filled with fruits, vegetables, food to make meals, snacks, and other nutritious items. Click the link below to find out more information about their hours of operation and to fill out a form to get a meal bag.
This program is a regenerative, student-focused food sharing program, allowing students to donate their "swipes" and unused meals from previously purchased dining plans. Visit the site for information on sharing (applications), donating and further information on the program.
The Student Health Center on campus is committed to ensuring that students have access to high quality health care that enables students to perform their best physically, mentally and emotionally, in order to achieve their goals at UW. The medical clinic offers a variety of services for acute and chronic injuries and illnesses, Women’s and Men’s Health, and even has a full-service pharmacy and lab. Employees, students, and visitors should feel confident that issues relating to sexual misconduct, discrimination, and workplace violence will be given appropriate attention at UW. It is important for individuals who are experiencing (or know of others who are experiencing) such behavior to immediately report it to a University official. As the University’s policy states, such behavior is prohibited and will not be tolerated. Victims of sexual misconduct may file a report directly with the Title IX Coordinator.
