Performing Arts Degrees
The Buchanan Center is the proud home to the University of Wyoming’s Music and Theatre & Dance programs. These programs are the cultural cornerstones at UW and bring in vibrant performances for UW students, staff, faculty and community to enjoy!
Theatre and Dance
UW’s Theatre and Dance department is known for its captivating performances, but it also provides students with a comprehensive education in the arts. Combining academic rigor and creative opportunity leads to a truly enriching education. Prospective students can choose from several undergraduate majors. Additionally, graduate students gain advanced training through practicum courses, senior projects and theses, preparing them for professional careers in the arts.
Music
The UW Department of Music welcomes students from diverse backgrounds and encourages self-discovery through performance, studio and classroom experiences. With innovative and challenging curriculums, our programs foster collaboration, skill development and artistic growth. Our department is small enough for personal attention, yet large enough to support musical growth to the highest level.

These contributions fund scholarships, ensuring that talented students from all backgrounds have access to a world-class education in the arts. An investment in UW performing arts is an investment that pays off again and again as we continue this tradition of excellence.
