Harry C. Sager

Harry C. Sager, a Wyoming native son from Lusk, received a B.S.C.E. from the University of Wyoming in 1951. Following service in the U.S. Navy, he joined Conoco in 1955, working in oil production engineering. In 1964 he was assigned to Conoco's international operations where he held various executive positions including Chairman and Managing Director of Conoco Ltd, in London, and North Sea oil field development manager. He was a pioneer in development of underwater oil storage, oil spill cleanup, and oil platforms.

In 1986 he was appointed Vice President, North American Production, Conoco, and Vice President of E. I. du Pont; in 1991, he was appointed Group Vice President of Du Pont. Mr. Sager's leadership was known in various professional organizations, and in 1985 he was named one of the top ten most influential leaders in the petroleum industry by Petroleum Management Magazine.
