Program Overview
The UW Department of Chemistry is offering summer research fellowships for students from community colleges in Summer 2024! The fellowships provide students a unique opportunity to work in a research lab with a professor or graduate student mentor. This is a great opportunity to become familiar with the UW campus, meet other students from around the state and the country, and to get real-life, hands-on research experience!

Features

Spend ten-weeks working in a University of Wyoming research lab under a faculty or graduate student mentor (accommodations are provided)

Extra-curricular activities such as a trip to Yellowstone/Tetons, a visit to the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL), a Colorado Rockies Baseball game, and more

$7,000 stipend for the summer, plus $200 for travel.
Eligibility
- Must be a community college student; preferably from Wyoming, although students from around the country are welcome to apply!

Must be able to come to Laramie, Wyoming for ten weeks during the summer of 2023; from late May to late July 2024
- Must be majoring in a science or engineering field.
