Every school and district has different strengths, priorities, and needs. Our process is collaborative and designed to help us learn about your unique context before determining how the LRCC can best support your literacy goals.
1. Connect With Us

2. Initial Conversation
Our Executive Director, Dr. Kimberly Gustafson, will connect with you to learn more about your school or district, your current literacy priorities, and the type of support you are seeking.
3. Schedule a Needs Assessment
Our work typically begins with an on-site Needs Assessment. A small LRCC team visits your school or district to learn more about current literacy practices through classroom observations, conversations with educators, and a review of relevant information and data.
4. Review Findings & Identify Priorities
Following the visit, the LRCC develops a written Needs Assessment highlighting strengths, patterns, and potential areas for continued growth. Together, we use this information to identify priorities and determine a focus for our work.
5. Co-Design a Plan
Once priorities have been identified, we work with you to develop a professional learning plan that fits your context. Support may include professional development sessions, ongoing site visits or virtual support, collaborative learning opportunities, curriculum support, or work with specific teams or grade levels.
6. Begin Our Work Together
We develop a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlining the agreed-upon plan, services, and costs. From there, our partnership begins—with ongoing communication and flexibility as your school or district works toward its literacy goals.
