Suggested non-perishable items include:
Shelf-stable fresh fruit & produce, meat, cheese, and frozen items can also be dropped off to the UW Food Share Pantry during open hours.
Alternatively, the SLCE Office frequently hosts food drives where you can share food.
Unfortunately, there is a stigma surrounding food insecurity. But you can be part of the solution. Talk to your friends and family about this major problem and work to create a culture of sharing food with others. Together we can create a culture of taking care of one another.
The UW Food Share Pantry is a great place for individuals and groups to volunteer their time. Contact the Dean of Students Office to find out more.
You can financially contribute to the UW Food Share Pantry. This helps purchase perishable items essential to the goal of providing healthy food options and nourishing the members of our campus community. Stay tuned for other ways you can financially support all food security efforts at UW!
If you are a student contact your ASUW representative to show your support for food security legislation.
