Nearly half of a semester has passed at the new Michael B. Enzi STEM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Math) Facility on Lewis Street in Laramie. Enzi, a longtime US Senator,
is credited for securing Abandoned Mine Lands funds needed to construct the new $50
million building.
This state-of-the-art underclassmen facility is comprised of three stories of learning
space—encompassing more than 30 laboratories, numerous small active-learning classrooms,
and ample commons areas and study spaces. When occupied, the building will see 900
students at a time.
