This summer, the UW Foundation welcomed a familiar face that many of you may recognize. We are so honored to have Keener Fry join our development team. Keener’s impressive 25-year career with UW began in 1997 with UW Athletics. He served as the senior associate athletics director and later became a development director for the Cowboy Joe Club. In 2011 he was appointed as the UW Alumni Association executive director, which he led up until this past summer when he retired. Keener couldn’t be kept away from UW and he’s back in a new role as a contract director of development with emphasis on gift planning. Keener brings a wealth of development and leadership experience to his new position.
The impact UW has had on Keener’s life inspired him and his wife, Lisa, to establish the Keener and Lisa Fry Family UWAA Excellence Fund, a fund that supports the activities and operations of the association, enhancing the affinity all Pokes share. “University of Wyoming donors have been a pillar of strength in providing invaluable funding to help enrich the lives of the UW community,” says Keener. “I am thrilled to be returning in this capacity, where I can continue to be a part of this university’s success and its future.”
