Andara Frasier joined the legal staff of the University of Wyoming in 2016. She is currently an Associate General Counsel.
She previously spent two years as a legal intern for the Office of General Counsel. Andara is an Oregon native. She has a bachelor's degree in comparative politics from the University of Puget Sound and graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law dual degree program in 2015 with degrees in law and public administration.
Andara provides general legal support and guidance on a wide variety of civil issues pertinent to a state institution of higher education, including, but not limited to:
Employment matters
Civil rights
Student affairs
Contract and policy review
Public records
Student education records (FERPA)
Andara is the primary designee and attorney handling requests under the Wyoming Public Records Act and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and ensures compliance with the statutory and regulatory deadlines.
