After an eventful trip to Washington, DC, the UW Model Arab League team has returned to Laramie from Nationals with several awards. At this year's competition, Wyoming came 3rd out of 20+ universities and colleges from across the nation. Students engaged diplomacy, met with UW alumni, and had the chance to visit State Department Headquarters.

Haruka Takaku is a JOI (Japan Outreach Initiative) Coordinator for the Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation. She recently started her two-year appointment in August 2024, working in Cody, WY to strengthen ties between Wyoming and Japan, share Japanese culture, and grow relationships across the state.
