Available Funding Sources
A non-exhaustive list of available funding sources and opportunities at UW and at large.

The Financial Aid Office at UW hosts a convenient online tool, WyoScholarships, for finding institutional scholarships. Sign in to see what is available. Keep in
mind funding opportunities are updated each semester, so check back frequently.
You are encouraged to also speak with your academic advisor or department staff about
scholarships specific to your major and area of interest. In addition to department
scholarships, your advisor may be able to recommend financial support from entities
related to your field of study, such as alumni or businesses.
There are a number of outside scholarships available for international students. Because they are often hard to find, not everyone applies even when there is money still available. ISS recommends that you apply for as many as possible.

The Organization of American States (OAS), an international organization based in Washington, DC, offers, through the Rowe Fund program, interest-free loans to competent students from Latin American and Caribbean countries to help them finance their graduate, postgraduate, and final two years of undergraduate studies at accredited universities within the United States.
For more information and to download the forms, visit the OAS Rowe Fund website or e-mail the Rowe Fund Program at rowefund@oas.org.
The Rowe Fund is also currently offering $2,000 scholarships upon the approval of
an interest-free loan to Latin American and Caribbean citizens holding F and J visas.
A thorough list of available scholarships and loans for Latin American and Caribbean
students can be found by reviewing the OAS Financial Aid Guide.
The Karma Fund was started up by UW students just over a decade ago after one of their fellow international students was hit by a car and suffered incredible injuries. The fund helps to offset some of the medical bills for international students who have had medical emergencies so that they can remain in school.
