Background and Research Interests
Jenna Starck is an Assistant Professor within the Division of Kinesiology and Health at the University of Wyoming. Her research focuses on assessment literacy, adventure education, social and emotional learning, and occupational socialization theory within physical education settings. Her work has a specific emphasis on translating research into practice alongside both pre-service and in-service teachers. Previously, she served for nearly a decade in undergraduate and graduate physical education teacher education programs, including directing a graduate emphasis in Adventure Education. She also taught secondary physical education and adapted physical education in a K–12 setting where she collaborated with colleagues to implement adventure education and outdoor pursuits.
