In 1994, Deb joined the library staff of the George Hopper Law Library, where she has worked to meet the needs of the students and faculty of the law school. Over time, her positions led to overseeing the day-to-day running of the library, including outreach to the legal community and to the members of the general public. In her current role as library director, she sees an opportunity to expand library services to the greater community.

For many years, Deb taught Introduction to Legal Research for incoming law students and served as the faculty advisor to the Board of Advocates. She now teaches Advanced Legal Research.

She is a member of American Association of Law Libraries and several of the association’s Special Interest Sections, such as Research Instruction and Patron Services and Legal Information Services to the Public. She has served on a number of committees of the Academic Law Libraries Special Interest Section and was elected to membership on its Executive Board. She is a past president of WestPac, the Western Pacific Chapter of AALL, which includes members from law libraries across the region from Wyoming to Western Canada.
