If you regularly visit the Libraries, you probably have a go-to study spot, but did you know there is so much more that the Libraries offer besides books and study spaces? Inside Coe Library, there is a range of fun activities from podcast creation to a coffee and snack break! These are super fun places to go when you need a brain break or have a project that needs a little creative juice.

Macbooks in Studio Coe.

Studio Coe

Studio Coe is in Coe Room 237 on level 2 of the library. This is a drop-in space, which means there are no appointments needed! This space is full of Mac computers with free software such as Anchor, Inkscape, and Unity 3D to help build virtual reality, video games, or create graphics. The Mac computers also have Adobe software for all your photo and video editing needs. Not only do they house all the software you need, but they also offer workshops for a better understanding of the software itself! This is great if you want to learn something new or just need a refresher! For more information, check out Studio Coe’s website!

Studio Coe’s Hidden Gem

Podcasts have become the new hot topic for many listeners, but creating your own is becoming even more popular! The podcast space in Studio Coe is a fantastic way to get started on your own podcasting journey. Located in Studio Coe (Coe 237) on level 2 of Coe Library, this space comes equipped with everything you need! Headphones, microphones, and Adobe software are all set up and ready for you to record. To use this space appointments are needed as this is a hot stop for many! Did we mention that the room is soundproof so there is no outside noise being recorded? This gets rid of any interference you may run into if you are not in a studio. To schedule an appointment, stop into Studio Coe or visit their website or email them at studioco@uwyo.edu.
